The Alf@net Project adheres to the philosophy of freely accessible software, also known as "open source" software. We believe that software applications should be available to all and at no cost, something that is only possible when a large number of collaborators, dedicated to the development of information and communication technologies (ICT) in African national languages, work together to develop these software tools. Cooperation is surely the key to facing tomorrow's challenges, be it along the digital divide or simply as we fight to make information universally accessible.
If you would like to discover with us the real meaning of the word "globalization," and are similarly dedicated to this philosophy, we would be delighted to communicate with you. That we may all move forward together!
